1. Introduction & who we are
Moto (“the app”) is an AI-powered meeting-minutes service operated by Meraung Studio, a business based in Malaysia. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data when you use Moto.
By using Moto, you consent to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Data we collect
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, and password (handled securely).
- Meeting content: audio recordings, transcripts, speaker labels, and AI-generated minutes.
- Client/organizational data: company names, logos, and notes you add for client branding.
- Billing data: payment status, plan/top-up selections, and uploaded receipt images for verification.
- Usage data: quota usage, meeting duration, and basic error/performance logs needed to operate the service.
Payment card details: We do not store or process payment card details. Payments are completed through Touch ‘n Go eWallet / TnG DuitNow QR or our listed payment provider, and all card/payment data is handled by that provider.
3. How we use your data
- To create and manage your account.
- To provide transcription, summarization, and minute-generation services.
- To generate branded reports with your selected client logo.
- To process billing, top-ups, and payment verification.
- To send service notifications, low-quota reminders, and support responses.
- To maintain and improve app security and reliability.
4. Data storage & security
Your data is stored securely in our backend infrastructure (Supabase / Lovable Cloud) with encryption in transit and at rest. We follow reasonable industry practices to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no internet-based service can be guaranteed 100% secure.
5. Third-party services we use
We rely on the following processors to run Moto:
- Supabase / Lovable Cloud — database, authentication, and storage.
- AssemblyAI — speech-to-text transcription and diarization.
- Lovable AI Gateway / Google Gemini — AI summarization and meeting-minutes generation.
- Touch ‘n Go eWallet / DuitNow — payment processing and receipt verification.
- Email/SMS services — notifications and password resets (if enabled).
These providers only process your data on our behalf and are not allowed to use it for their own purposes or for model training without your consent.
6. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We only share data with the third-party processors listed above, or when required to comply with Malaysian law, a court order, or to protect our rights and users.
7. Data retention & your rights under PDPA
Under Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Withdraw consent to certain processing, where applicable.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active, or as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Meeting audio and transcripts are kept while your account is active unless you delete them.
8. Account deletion
You can delete your account in the app under Settings > Danger zone > Delete account, or by emailing us at info@meraung.com. Once confirmed, we will remove your personal data, organization, clients, meetings, transcripts, and minutes within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
9. Children
Moto is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Updates to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this page, and the effective date will be updated. Continued use of Moto after changes means you accept the updated policy.
